No jargon, no fine print you have to squint at. If your question isn't here, ask it directly on a call.
Fees & Fiduciary Duty
Yes, always, with no exceptions. As a Registered Investment Adviser representative, PLC Wealth Partners is legally required to act in your best interest.
Yes. PLC is compensated solely through the fees you pay directly: a flat fee or a percentage of assets under management. No commissions, no kickbacks, no referral fees.
A flat fee is a set dollar amount for planning, independent of your portfolio size. AUM (assets under management) pricing is a percentage of the investments PLC manages for you. We'll walk through both on your intro call so you know exactly what you'd pay and why.
Any fee changes are disclosed in advance, in writing, before they take effect. You'll never be surprised.
Working Together
High-earning professionals and business owners, often navigating stock compensation, a growing income, or a business that's outgrown their current financial approach. Many are first-generation high earners, without a plan to follow.
Yes, it's a big part of who we work with. Being first-generation with this kind of income comes with its own questions: no family playbook, pressure to support parents or siblings, and figuring out what "enough" looks like. We build your plan around that reality.
Yes. PLC Wealth Partners works virtually with clients nationwide.
It starts with a free intro call, followed by a discovery meeting to understand your full financial picture, then a clear proposal before anything is signed. See the Client Process page for details.
Most clients spend a few hours upfront gathering documents and meeting for initial planning. After that, the time commitment depends on how often you want to meet with your advisor.
Stock Compensation & Tax Strategy
If you receive RSUs, ISOs, or NQSOs, decisions around when to exercise, hold, or sell can have a major tax impact. Stock comp planning looks at your specific grants, vesting schedule, and tax situation to build a strategy, rather than treating every vesting event the same way.
Not directly. PLC Wealth Partners focuses on tax planning and strategy, and coordinates closely with your CPA or tax preparer at filing time.
The CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) is the most widely recognized comprehensive financial planning credential, covering retirement, tax, insurance, estate, and investment planning. The ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) is a comparably rigorous credential covering that same core curriculum, with additional coursework in applying it to real-world client situations. Prince holds both.
